7/15/06 WOMEN IN MUSIC….
July 16th, 2006
So, I decided to do a featute this week on WOMEN IN MUSIC, not really my list of the greatest women to perform but more of a collection of voice/music/sounds all created and presented by women. I featured a wide range from Ms. Aretha to Queen Janis, rocker Joan Jett to the duel cello-sounds of Zoe and Melora of RASPUTINA. Newcomers Susan Cagle, Mandi Perkins and in studio guest Michelle Lewis certainly have awakened a new mucial beast, one the listeners have responded to well. We ended the show w/ the beautiful voice of Kimber Manning from her album Eventually, her classy rendition of WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD reminds us why we wake.

I wish I was the person who took home a copy of this cd, what a treat. Where do you find these artists? She had such a unique sound and it is always nice to hear live music from the studio so thanks for bringing it to us. She should play around here more

Hello everyone!
Thank you so much for listening to my music on GreenArrowRadio! I had a great time in the studio and hope to be back soon. I will be playing at The Space in Hamden, CT on Sept 19, I hope to see some of you there. Thank you for the suggestion about the Vanilla Bean - you can help by emailing the booker and let her know that you want her to bring me there! Tell your friends to do the same, if she knows I have fans there she’s more likely to book me :) If you want to get on my mailing list so that you don’t miss me when I’m playing near you, email me at mailinglist@michellelewismusic.com.
Thanks again for all your support, enjoy the music!!
xoxo,
Michelle
