A quick Cello w/Rasputina’s Melora.
July 19th, 2006
A very brief chat with the founder of one of the coolest bands without a guitar since Morphine( at least for me). Melora was on her way from upstate NY to her next destination with a stop over at the infamous Toad’s Place in New Haven. Rasputina is a “cello-rock” ensemble. Founded by Melora Creager in 1891, they have long held true to their mission of enlightening the common man as to the power and versatility of the mighty cello. Historically influenced, and constantly costumed, Rasputina keeps a small legion of incredibly passionate admirers enthralled with their earnest musicianship.

Watch yourself with how many times you say, “Yeah” in an interview. Hard hitting questions like, “What’s your favorite sandwhich?” might want to be omitted too.
